Goats: Providers of Milk and Hair

In ancient Israel, goats were among the most common domestic animals. Ideally suited to the arid conditions of southern Judah, they were prized both for their milk (Proverbs 27:27) and their hair! Back in the day, goat hair was used for weaving tents and sacks.
