If any site deserves to have a sign saying “Jesus was here”, it is surely the southern steps of Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. Back in Jesus’ time, these steps led to two sets of gateways (now sealed), which were primary gates into and out of God’s Temple. These southern steps swarmed with pilgrims during festivals such as Passover, and were almost certainly the steps Jesus used to enter the Temple. They were potentially steps on which Jesus taught as well (see Matt 24; Mark 13). These are steps steeped in history.
